Job Overview:
A highly regarded law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney with 4 to 6 years of focused experience in appellate practice and trial support. The successful candidate will have a solid background in courtroom advocacy, including appellate oral arguments, motion hearings, and trial support. This position offers the opportunity to join a collaborative legal team, contribute to complex litigation, and work across any of the firm's office locations. This position is offered through a legal recruiting agency on behalf of the hiring law firm.

Location:

• New York City, NY

Duties:

• Draft appellate briefs, legal memoranda, and motions

• Conduct oral arguments before appellate courts

• Argue legal motions and support trial counsel in litigation proceedings

• Participate in charge conferences and ensure trial record preservation

• Perform in-depth legal research to support appellate and trial strategy

• Collaborate with litigation teams on high-level case development and legal analysis

Requirements:

• 4 to 6 years of experience in appellate litigation and trial support

• Courtroom experience, including handling appellate arguments and legal motions

• Familiarity with trial procedures and appellate rules

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Judicial clerkship experience preferred

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

• Strong academic record required

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

Skills:

• Exceptional legal writing and research abilities

• Strong oral advocacy and presentation skills

• Strategic thinker with a meticulous attention to detail

• Capable of working independently and within team settings

• Proficiency with legal research platforms and litigation support tools
