Duties

• Draft and oppose motions throughout the litigation process, including challenges to pleadings and discovery motions.
• Collaborate with trial attorneys on motions in limine, pre- and post-trial motions.
• Contribute to case strategy with trial attorneys.
• Conduct research and write on emerging legal issues.
• Engage in legal research, discovery, and law and motion practice.

Requirements

• Strong writing and analytical skills.
• Excellent research abilities.
• Admitted to practice in California.
• Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines.

Preferred qualifications

• Appellate experience.
• Experience as a research attorney.
• Experience presenting oral arguments in court is not necessary.
• Admission to Federal Court.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Member of the California State Bar in good standing.
