This full-time position offers hands-on experience through all stages of litigation, including client interaction, fact investigation, and case preparation for settlement or trial. The role involves practicing in various District Courts in Harris County within a supportive team environment.

Duties

• Conduct initial file review and evaluate petitions of assigned cases.
• Draft legal documents such as briefs, motions, pleadings, and appeals.
• Investigate case facts to determine causes of action and prepare accordingly.
• Resolve cases through settlement or trial/appeal.
• Make appearances before Texas District Courts.
• Participate in marketing and networking activities.

Requirements

• Knowledge of Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence.
• Legal research and analysis skills.
• Strong communication skills for correspondence with counsel, clients, and courts.
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented.

Education

• Graduation from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law by the State Bar of Texas.
• Member in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.

Skills

• Proficiency with MS Office tools and Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience in Prolaw case management software is a plus.
