Job Title: Energy, Environmental, And Infrastructure Associate Attorney
Job Overview:
A prominent law firm based in Miami, FL, is actively seeking a mid-level associate with a background in energy, environmental, and infrastructure-related transactions. The ideal candidate will bring 3-7 years of relevant experience and a strong track record handling complex commercial transactions in the energy and natural resources sector. This opportunity is ideal for attorneys interested in working on high-impact projects in a collaborative, nationally respected practice.
Duties:
Handle sophisticated transactional matters related to energy, infrastructure, and natural resources
Draft and negotiate commercial contracts such as:
Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs)
Operations & Maintenance Agreements
Shared Facilities Agreements
Build-to-transfer and joint venture agreements
Advise on mergers and acquisitions involving energy and infrastructure assets
Work on procurement agreements for materials and equipment
Assist with project development, including engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracts for renewable energy projects
Contribute to energy finance transactions, including structuring and closing
Support clients in oil and gas matters, where applicable
Manage multiple client relationships and transaction streams simultaneously
Collaborate closely with team members across practice groups
Requirements:
3-7 years of post-JD legal experience
Demonstrated ability to manage complex transactions independently
Familiarity with legal structures and contractual frameworks in the renewable energy sector
Prior experience in a large or mid-sized law firm or boutique with a strong transactional focus
Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Admission to practice law in Florida, or the ability to obtain admission promptly
Skills:
Proficient in contract drafting and transactional negotiation
Knowledge of commercial, energy, and environmental regulatory frameworks
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
High level of attention to detail and accountability
Ability to adapt to evolving regulatory and market environments
