Duties

• Draft and prosecute patent applications involving electrical, software, computer science, and emerging technologies

• Manage all aspects of U.S. and international patent prosecution

• Conduct technical and legal research related to patent strategy and innovation

• Collaborate with attorneys and other professionals in the preparation of opinions and due diligence assessments

• Provide strategic input on portfolio development and IP protection

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications

• Background in technologies such as electrical systems, software, computer hardware, AI, or machine learning

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-oriented legal team

• Strong analytical and organizational skills

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

Certifications

• Admission to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is required

Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong technical writing and document drafting abilities

• Proficiency in patent research tools and databases
