A law firm seeks a mid to senior level associate to join its Real Estate Finance group in Philadelphia, PA, with a preference for candidates in New York. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, law firm or clerking experience, and excellent research, writing, and communication skills.

Duties

• Engage in loan origination work for large structured commercial real estate finance transactions.
• Draft primary loan documents and manage transactions from inception through closing and post-closing.
• Handle mezzanine loans, preferred equity, asset management, and workout experience.
• Conduct secondary market repurchase facility work and other exit strategies.

Requirements

• 4+ years of broad real estate finance experience.
• Ability to navigate complex subject matter quickly and effectively.
• Ambition, drive, and team-orientation to support a national practice.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Active bar admission in the jurisdiction of intended practice.

Skills

• Superb research, writing, and communication skills.
• Experience with large structured commercial real estate finance transactions.
