Job Overview:
A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Public and Project Finance Associate Attorney with 2 to 5 years of transactional finance experience to join its practice group. This role involves working with a dynamic team representing developers, borrowers, issuers, underwriters, and lenders in complex public and private infrastructure finance transactions, including renewable energy, healthcare, education, housing, and water/sewer projects. This opportunity offers significant responsibility, direct client interaction, and business development engagement.
Location:

Duties:
Structure, negotiate, and close public and project finance transactions
Draft and review legal documents related to bonds, loans, and tax equity financing
Advise clients including government entities, underwriters, developers, and lenders
Work on projects across sectors such as renewable energy, healthcare, education, and infrastructure
Conduct legal research, due diligence, and risk assessment
Collaborate with internal teams and provide strategic transaction guidance
Participate in marketing and business development efforts, including attending industry conferences
Requirements:
2 to 5 years of experience in public finance, project finance, or general finance transactions
Familiarity with tax equity structures and finance documentation
Demonstrated experience in closing transactions
Ability to take on significant responsibility and engage with clients directly
Team-oriented and highly organized professional
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Active bar license in Colorado, Minnesota, or Pennsylvania (preferred)
Skills:
Strong drafting, negotiation, and legal analysis skills
Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines effectively
Excellent communication and client service skills
Interest in and aptitude for business development and client relationship building
