Job Overview:
A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Public and Project Finance Associate Attorney with 2 to 5 years of transactional finance experience to join its practice group. This role involves working with a dynamic team representing developers, borrowers, issuers, underwriters, and lenders in complex public and private infrastructure finance transactions, including renewable energy, healthcare, education, housing, and water/sewer projects. This opportunity offers significant responsibility, direct client interaction, and business development engagement.

Location:

  • Philadelphia, PA

Duties:

  • Structure, negotiate, and close public and project finance transactions

  • Draft and review legal documents related to bonds, loans, and tax equity financing

  • Advise clients including government entities, underwriters, developers, and lenders

  • Work on projects across sectors such as renewable energy, healthcare, education, and infrastructure

  • Conduct legal research, due diligence, and risk assessment

  • Collaborate with internal teams and provide strategic transaction guidance

  • Participate in marketing and business development efforts, including attending industry conferences

Requirements:

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in public finance, project finance, or general finance transactions

  • Familiarity with tax equity structures and finance documentation

  • Demonstrated experience in closing transactions

  • Ability to take on significant responsibility and engage with clients directly

  • Team-oriented and highly organized professional

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active bar license in Colorado, Minnesota, or Pennsylvania (preferred)

Skills:

  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and legal analysis skills

  • Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines effectively

  • Excellent communication and client service skills

  • Interest in and aptitude for business development and client relationship building

  • Collaborative, proactive, and responsive team member
