Job Overview

A law firm seeks a junior to mid-level associate to join its Real Estate Finance Practice Group in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, experience in real estate finance law, and excellent writing and communication skills.

Duties

• Manage loan origination work for large structured commercial real estate finance transactions.
• Handle mezzanine loans and preferred equity transactions.
• Oversee asset management and workout processes.
• Conduct transactions on behalf of lenders from inception through closing and post-closing.
• Engage in secondary market repurchase facility work and other exit strategies.

Requirements

• Two to six years of broad real estate finance experience.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Ambition and drive to support and grow a national practice.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Active bar admission in the jurisdiction of intended practice.

Skills

• Strong academic achievement and large law firm experience.
• Superb writing and communication skills.
