A well-established law firm based in Las Vegas, NV, is seeking a proactive Litigation Associate to support its dynamic legal practice. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated professional who is eager to engage in complex civil litigation matters and contribute to high-stakes cases from inception through trial. The role involves hands-on responsibility, direct client engagement, and the chance to collaborate with seasoned legal professionals in a hybrid working environment.
Duties:
Handle all aspects of civil litigation matters, including personal injury, wrongful death, premises liability, construction disputes, and commercial conflicts
Develop a case strategy and manage litigation timelines
Draft pleadings, discovery, and various motions
Conduct legal research and analysis
Take and defend depositions
Represent clients in court proceedings, including motion hearings and mediations
Work directly with clients and opposing counsel
Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys for guidance and mentorship
Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year of civil litigation experience in a legal setting (newly licensed attorneys will be considered)
Strong command of litigation procedure and case management
Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload
Effective written and verbal advocacy skills
Professional demeanor and a commitment to client service
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited institution
Certifications:
Active admission to the State Bar of Nevada
Skills:
Excellent research, drafting, and analytical skills
Proficiency in legal software and case management tools
Comfortable managing deadlines and multiple priorities
Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal abilities
Demonstrated initiative and attention to detail
