Duties:

• Draft and prepare legal documents for filing and correspondence
• Develop pleadings, motions, judgments, and orders
• Communicate with attorneys, court personnel, and clients regarding case details
• Conduct witness interviews and prepare them for court testimony
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all documents prepared
• Represent clients in court for cases assigned, ensuring timely appearances
• Manage all aspects of assigned cases, including discovery and trial preparation
• Perform administrative duties such as filing, organizing case files, and document management
• Conduct legal research on specific family law issues

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree
• Active Kansas law license (required)
• Experience in family law (preferred)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
• Courtroom experience is a plus

Education:

• J.D. from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Kansas Bar membership in good standing

Skills:

• Expertise in family law procedures and regulations
• Strong legal research, drafting, and negotiation skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for client interaction
• Ability to manage caseload and work independently under minimal supervision
• Proficient in legal software and case management tools
