Job Overview

A law firm seeks an associate attorney to join the Secondary Markets group within the Public Finance practice in Kansas City, MO. The candidate will engage in a variety of transactional matters involving municipal, asset-backed, and corporate securities. This full-time position offers a hybrid work option and requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in public finance, real estate, lending, corporate finance, or other transactional areas.

Duties

• Research federal and state laws, including securities and lending laws, the Internal Revenue Code, and local bond and real estate law.
• Prepare and review transaction documents such as trust indentures, loan agreements, and financing agreements.
• Prepare and review underwriting documents, including offering documents and purchase agreements.
• Interact and communicate with clients and other transaction parties.
