Duties

• Co-manage a diverse federal caseload with support from paralegals and legal staff.
• Draft and file motions, sentencing submissions, briefs, and trial documents.
• Assist in preparation for oral arguments and evidentiary hearings.
• Maintain frequent communication with clients, including jail visits.
• Litigate complex criminal matters in federal court.
• Strategize with senior trial attorneys on case representation.
• Travel throughout New York and New Jersey for court appearances.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in New Jersey and New York.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in criminal law or a completed criminal court clerkship with one year of experience.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent persuasive writing and oral advocacy abilities.
• Outstanding communication skills and professionalism.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow filing rules.
• Willingness to learn and adapt as part of a team.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Admitted to the Bar in New Jersey and New York.
