Duties

• Communicate empathetically with trauma survivors
• Interview clients and conduct case investigations
• Manage discovery processes
• Conduct legal research and draft motions and complaints
• Participate in depositions, mediations, and trials
• Perform tasks necessary from case retention to conclusion
• Foster positive work relationships

Requirements

• Strong writing, oral, and legal research skills
• Effective communication style
• Highly organized with attention to detail
• Ability to manage a busy caseload independently
• Knowledge of civil litigation procedures in New York and/or New Jersey

Education

• Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in New York and/or New Jersey
