A leading law firm is seeking an experienced International Employment Attorney to join its Employment Group. This non-partnership track position requires a candidate with a strong background in employment law, particularly in counseling for both domestic and international matters. The successful candidate will handle a wide range of employment-related corporate transactions, including conducting employment diligence, negotiating agreements, advising on employee mobility, and managing workforce issues. The position offers an opportunity to work in a global practice and collaborate with colleagues across multiple office locations.

Duties

  • Provide legal advice on employment aspects of corporate transactions, including conducting employment diligence.
  • Draft and negotiate employment, retention, and severance agreements.
  • Counsel clients on workforce management, including reductions in force and employee terminations.
  • Advise on employee mobility issues and draft restrictive covenants.
  • Offer employment law guidance to emerging companies in various industries.
  • Collaborate with attorneys across multiple offices on cross-border employment matters.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in employment law, with a focus on both domestic and international counseling.
  • Experience with employment-related corporate transactions and agreements.
  • Familiarity with advising clients on employee reductions, terminations, and workforce restructuring.
  • International counseling experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, legal research, and drafting skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex legal matters and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the jurisdiction in which the candidate is applying.

Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Proficient in drafting and negotiating complex legal agreements.
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
