Job Overview:
A respected mid-sized civil defense law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Asbestos Litigation Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney to gain hands-on experience in complex litigation, including depositions, motion practice, and courtroom appearances. Location:

• St. Louis, MO

Duties:

• Handle all aspects of asbestos defense litigation files

• Attend and conduct depositions of parties and expert witnesses

• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and other legal documents

• Represent clients in court hearings and pretrial proceedings

• Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and trial preparation

• Participate in legal research, discovery, and case analysis

• Maintain communication with clients and co-counsel throughout litigation

Requirements:

• 1–5 years of litigation experience preferred (asbestos or toxic tort experience a plus)

• Missouri law license required

• Dual licensure in Illinois strongly preferred

• Comfortable handling depositions and court appearances

• Strong time management and ability to handle multiple deadlines

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in Missouri (required)

• Admission to the Illinois Bar (preferred)

Skills:
