Associate Attorney needed for Oakland office

A law firm in Oakland, CA, is seeking an Associate Attorney with at least 2 years of experience. The candidate must be licensed to practice law in California and will be responsible for handling various legal matters under the supervision of senior attorneys. Duties:

• Assist senior attorneys in managing caseload and legal matters.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and other court filings.
• Participate in case strategy meetings and assist in developing litigation strategies.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings as required.
• Review and analyze legal documents and contracts.
• Maintain organized case files and documentation.
• Handle administrative tasks related to legal matters as assigned.

Requirements:

• Admission to the California State Bar is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant legal experience.
• Strong academic background with a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in legal research and writing.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Experience with litigation procedures and case management software is preferred.
