Associate Attorney needed for Oakland office

A law firm in Oakland is seeking a dynamic Associate Attorney with 2-8 years of litigation experience. The successful candidate should possess excellent academic credentials, a current license to practice law in California, and strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills. Judicial clerkship, as well as a mock trial or moot court experience, is preferred. The ideal candidate should also demonstrate highly developed interpersonal skills and a team-player mentality.

Duties:

• Engage in legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies.
• Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and trials.
• Collaborate with legal teams on case strategy and resolution.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients.
• Utilize strong interpersonal skills to foster effective client relationships.
• Work independently and as part of a team to meet case-related deadlines.
• Participate in mock trials or moot court exercises.
• Conduct judicial clerkship duties as required.

Experience:

2-8 years of litigation experience.

Requirements:

• Current license to practice law in California.
