Duties:

• Conduct initial case evaluations and develop case strategies and litigation budgets

• Draft and file legal pleadings, motions, and discovery responses

• Coordinate and oversee discovery processes, including document production

• Participate in depositions, mediations, and hearings with thorough documentation

• Negotiate settlements and prepare cases for trial when necessary

• Maintain proactive communication with paralegals and legal assistants

• Collaborate with team members to support client needs and internal deadlines

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of legal experience, preferably in workers' compensation or insurance defense

• Active license to practice law in the state of North Carolina

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills

• High attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills

• Comfortable with legal technology platforms and the Microsoft Office suite

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• An active North Carolina Bar license is required
