EDGE Intern - Engineer and Scientist Summer Program
The interns will be placed in one of the offices based on student interest and business needs. Will perform patent and technical research and writing. Will also review patent applications, draft documents for attorney review, research and report on patent filings and perform other duties and projects assigned by the intern's manager. Work directly with intellectual property professionals and be exposed to patent engineer, scientist and agent program. Under the guidance of highly skilled professionals in the industry, develop research and writing acumen and become well-versed in the latest technologies and technical developments. Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, and Ph.D. Students, as well as Post-Docs will be considered with Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical and Computer Engineering majors or Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physical Chemistry, Biophysical Chemistry and Life Sciences majors (Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Neurobiology, etc.). Must have excellent academic credentials. Passion for technology and a genuine interest in patent law is required. Highly proficient research skills and demonstrated analytical ability are needed. Should be detail-oriented with excellent time management and follow-up skills. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are needed.
