Trusts and Estates Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm located in Manchester, NH, is seeking an experienced Trusts and Estates Associate Attorney with 7+ years of experience in estate planning, tax planning, and trust and estate administration. The ideal candidate should possess a strong academic record, excellent written and oral communication skills, and experience in asset protection planning and charitable giving. Prior experience working directly with high net-worth individuals and families, as well as their advisors, on tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies, including the transfer of closely-held business interests, is highly desirable.

Job Duties:

• Advise clients on complex estate planning matters, including drafting wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents.
• Develop tax planning strategies to minimize estate tax liabilities and maximize tax-efficient wealth transfer.
• Handle trust and estate administration matters, including probate proceedings and trust administration.
• Assist clients with asset protection planning and charitable giving strategies.
• Work directly with high net-worth individuals and families, as well as their advisors, to implement tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex trust and estate issues.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals within the firm on trust and estate matters.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the state bar in New Hampshire.
• 7+ years of experience in estate planning, tax planning, and trust and estate administration.
• Strong academic record.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience in asset protection planning and charitable giving is a plus.
• Prior experience working with high net-worth individuals and families on tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies preferred.

Certifications:

Admission to the New Hampshire State Bar.
