Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice group in Omaha, Nebraska. The successful candidate will collaborate with seasoned attorneys on complex litigation matters across diverse industries, gaining valuable hands-on experience.

Duties

• Work collaboratively within an experienced litigation practice group.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic analysis of case law and statutes.
• Manage discovery, including depositions, document review, and expert witness preparation.
• Assist with trial preparation and courtroom advocacy.
• Communicate directly with clients, keeping them informed and engaged throughout the litigation process.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and execute litigation strategies that align with client goals.
• Represent clients in commercial disputes in state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration and mediation.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to complete projects within deadlines and maintain effective working relationships with all members of the firm.
• Strong work ethic and action-oriented interest in taking on increased levels of responsibility for transactions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in the state of Nebraska or eligibility to obtain admission.
