Duties
- Review technical disclosures and participate in client interviews to understand new inventions.
- Search literature and patent databases to assess the patentability of inventions.
- Draft written assessments on the prospects of obtaining patent protection.
- Write patent applications and prepare responses to communications from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
- Develop arguments for patentability to present to Patent Office Examiners.
- Review patents as part of IP due diligence for potential acquisitions or mergers.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in electrical engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related field.
- Sound judgment, maturity, and an inquisitive nature with a strong work ethic.
