A law firm seeks a full-time Associate Attorney to support its dynamic intellectual property and technology litigation practice. Duties:

  • Represent clients in intellectual property disputes, including patent, copyright, trademark, and trade secret litigation.
  • Handle cases in a variety of litigation forums, including district courts, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), and the International Trade Commission (ITC).
  • Conduct legal research, and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs with a high level of precision and clarity.
  • Develop litigation strategies and analyze complex legal issues to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Collaborate with team members to manage cases through all phases of litigation, from pre-filing to appeals.
  • Provide strategic advice to clients on intellectual property enforcement and protection strategies.
  • Participate in occasional travel to support client needs, business development efforts, and training initiatives.

Requirements:

  • 4–7 years of experience in intellectual property litigation, particularly in patent litigation and appeals.
  • Broad experience across multiple litigation forums, including district courts, PTAB, ITC, or other similar forums.
  • Exposure to complex litigation outside of intellectual property is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to critically analyze legal issues and develop creative solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent legal writing and analytical skills.
  • Proactive and curious mindset with a passion for problem-solving and learning.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the bar and in good standing in the state of residence.

Skills:

  • Exceptional legal research and writing capabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when needed.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
