eDiscovery Attorney
Job Overview:
A Washington, D.C.-based law firm is seeking an experienced eDiscovery Attorney through a legal recruiting agency. This non-partnership track role is ideal for a legal professional with a strong command of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM), particularly someone eager to expand their expertise across all stages of the eDiscovery lifecycle. The ideal candidate excels under pressure, manages multiple priorities efficiently, and demonstrates strong communication, project oversight, and team leadership capabilities.
Duties:
Manage eDiscovery components in complex litigation matters
Supervise project execution, ensuring timelines, quality standards, and budget compliance
Draft and negotiate discovery-related agreements, protocols, and orders
Serve as liaison between internal case teams, clients, and service vendors
Coordinate client data identification, collection, and processing activities
Develop cost estimates for review projects and assist with budgeting and invoicing oversight
Design and manage document review workflows, including quality control procedures
Oversee document production, preparation, and delivery
Provide mentoring, feedback, and performance guidance to review attorneys
Cultivate a collaborative and high-performing team environment
Requirements:
Licensed and in good standing with the DC Bar
At least 3-5 years of substantive experience in eDiscovery, including law firm, corporate, or government roles
Demonstrated ability to lead eDiscovery initiatives, including drafting of discovery protocols and supervising document review teams
Strong understanding of legal technology platforms and processes across the EDRM
Comfort working both autonomously and within cross-functional teams
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Laws (LL.M.) from an accredited institution
Certifications:
Admission to practice in Washington, DC is required
Skills:
Advanced legal research and analytical abilities
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Strong project and time management abilities
Experience with litigation technology tools and document review platforms
Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting

Job Location:
