Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Labor & Employment Attorney to join its Philadelphia, PA office. This position offers the opportunity to handle a diverse range of labor and employment matters, engaging with sophisticated clients on cutting-edge topics. The attorney will be part of a practice group managing single plaintiff employment litigation and wage and hour class litigation.

Duties

• Defend employers against claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, breach of contract, wrongful termination, and negligent hiring.
• Draft pleadings, substantive motions, and written discovery.
• Develop litigation strategies and conduct large-scale document reviews and productions.
• Work directly with clients and communicate with opposing counsel.
• Second-chair trials, depositions, and evidentiary hearings.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in complex and sophisticated litigation.
• Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar is required; NJ and/or NY Bar admission is a plus.
• Excellent writing and analytical skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar.
