Job Title: SIU Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A respected civil litigation law firm based in Moosic, P,A is seeking a seasoned attorney with a minimum of four years of experience in insurance defense and fraud-related litigation. This role focuses on the prosecution and defense of fraud claims involving personal injury, property loss, and complex affirmative actions. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, comfortable in courtrooms, and passionate about uncovering and addressing fraudulent insurance practices.

Duties:

• Collaborate with Special Investigations Units (SIUs) to develop and execute litigation strategies targeting fraudulent insurance claims

• Litigate affirmative actions involving fraud, including those under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO)

• Manage case strategy, conduct in-depth legal research, and draft complex pleadings and motions

• Conduct depositions, examinations under oath (EUOs), arbitrations, mediations, and trials

• Prepare pre- and post-trial motions in both state and federal courts

• Represent clients at hearings, conferences, and other court proceedings

• Negotiate settlements and draft settlement documentation

• Work on cases involving bodily injury, uninsured motorist claims, transportation-related incidents, labor law claims, and other areas linked to insurance fraud

Requirements:

• Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in civil litigation with a focus on insurance fraud or related fields

• Demonstrated success handling complex litigation in both federal and state jurisdictions

• Strong verbal and written advocacy skills

• Experience managing discovery, drafting motions, and conducting court proceedings independently

• Ability to strategize and execute affirmative litigation

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in Pennsylvania

• Admission to federal court preferred

• Excellent legal writing and oral argument capabilities

• Proficiency in handling negotiations and drafting legal documents

• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with minimal supervision
