A respected and growing law firm in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an Entry-Level Immigration Associate Attorney to join its dynamic immigration practice group. This role offers a unique opportunity for a newly admitted or early-career attorney to gain hands-on experience, work closely with experienced attorneys and legal staff, and develop strong litigation, client counseling, and case management skills. Explain complex immigration concepts to clients and offer strategic solutions
Represent non-detained and detained clients in removal proceedings before Immigration Courts and the Board of Immigration Appeals
Prepare and manage a caseload of immigration cases independently
Conduct intakes and interviews with detained individuals at detention centers
Draft and file various immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions
Review and revise immigration application packets to ensure completeness and accuracy
Communicate with law enforcement, prosecutors, and community organizations regarding immigration matters
Conduct strategic consultations with potential clients to assess eligibility and develop case strategies
Prepare clients and witnesses for testimony before immigration courts and USCIS interviews
Draft legal briefs and other supporting documents for immigration cases
Minimum of 1 year of immigration law experience
Strong interpersonal and client communication skills
Ability to manage a caseload effectively and move cases forward
Team-oriented approach with willingness to collaborate with other attorneys and staff
Experience working with family-based petitions, humanitarian applications, EOIR, detained cases, citizenship, and USCIS filings
Familiarity with immigration case management software preferred
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
Ability to communicate legal concepts clearly and compassionately to clients
Strategic thinker with a problem-solving mindset
Comfort in fast-paced, client-centered practice environments
