Job Overview:
A mid-sized litigation law firm is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join its growing Los Angeles office. This role provides immediate exposure to diverse civil litigation matters including wrongful death, personal injury, premises liability, construction, and business disputes. The position offers hands-on responsibility from case intake through trial, with support from experienced partners and team members. Location:

• Los Angeles, California

Duties:

• Manage litigation matters from inception through resolution

• Conduct legal research and draft briefs on complex legal issues

• Draft and respond to pleadings and discovery

• Take and defend depositions

• Draft and argue motions

• Attend mediations and settlement conferences

• Prepare for and participate in trial proceedings

• Interface with clients, experts, and opposing counsel

• Collaborate closely with partners and team attorneys

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in civil litigation preferred (newly licensed attorneys encouraged to apply)

• Experience in managing a litigation caseload, including pleadings, depositions, discovery, and hearings

• Trial experience is a plus

• Ability to independently manage tasks and timelines

• Strong client communication and problem-solving mindset

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar
