Job Overview:
A reputable law firm in Indianapolis is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will bring at least 2 years of experience handling civil litigation, with a focus on transportation and trucking-related matters. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team on complex legal issues within the transportation sector.

Duties:

• Represent clients in civil litigation, primarily related to transportation and trucking law.

• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients regarding trucking regulations and issues.

• Manage all aspects of case preparation, including discovery, motions, and trial preparation.

• Negotiate settlements and alternative dispute resolution processes.

• Draft and review legal documents, including contracts and litigation pleadings.

• Attend court hearings, depositions, and client meetings as required.

• Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members to develop case strategies.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of legal experience in civil litigation, with preference for transportation/trucking law experience.

• Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.

• Proven ability to manage a caseload effectively and work under pressure.

• Ability to work independently while also collaborating within a team environment.

• Professional demeanor with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

• Active license to practice law in the state of Indiana.

Certifications:

• Bar admission in Indiana or eligibility for admission.

Skills:

• Legal research and writing.

• Litigation strategy and case management.

• Negotiation and settlement skills.

• Strong oral advocacy and courtroom presentation.

• Client relationship management.

• Proficient with case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
