Duties:

• Manage all stages of the litigation process, including interacting with clients and prospects, responding to pleadings, managing discovery, and drafting motions.
• Take depositions and represent clients in mediation, settlement discussions, and trial preparation.
• Handle civil litigation and occasional transactional matters within various practice areas, including business, corporate, commercial, employment, construction, insurance defense, landlord/tenant disputes, and trade secrets.
• Utilize advanced legal technology to enhance case management and optimize efficiency.
• Collaborate with clients, experts, and colleagues to develop litigation strategies and achieve successful outcomes.
• Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to their professional development.
• Continuously build expertise in relevant practice areas and maintain high standards of client service.

Requirements:

• 1-15 years of litigation experience.
• Strong background in civil litigation, with a preference for exposure to multiple practice areas.
• Proven ability to manage complex caseloads and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear, persuasive legal documents.
• Ability to interact effectively with clients, experts, and colleagues in a collaborative environment.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to the team’s success.
• Active membership in the Tennessee Bar.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Tennessee State Bar is required.

Skills:

• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of litigation technology and case management software.
• Ability to negotiate and advocate effectively on behalf of clients.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Capable of managing multiple cases and priorities simultaneously.
