Duties: The candidate will manage contract intake requests for the GBS Legal team through the contract workflow tool. Assist with day-to-day activities as needed to support the GBS Legal team, including serving as the initial contact for a high volume of vendor contracts, identifying commercial and legal issues to be negotiated, and seeking input across business functions to address and respond to such issues. Support the redlining process for vendor contracts, including reviewing redlined agreements, creating redlined drafts for both internal and external/third party review, and preparing final versions of contracts for execution. Support GBS Legal attorneys in providing guidance and training on contract matters to internal clients. Support the GBS Legal team’s internal processes to maintain updated, standardized and accurate form agreements; assist with contract projects and contract standardization. Research and analyze statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources. Prepare, organize, and retrieve applicable files, contracts and records as necessary. Communicate with attorneys, internal business partners, and other professionals to discuss assigned contracts, projects, or legal issues. Develop strong working relationships with GBS Legal, Sourcing, Finance, Information Technology and other Business and Legal team members to help drive the delivery of effective and high-quality legal services. Develop an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Wolters Kluwer businesses that GBS supports, their people, organization, markets, products, technologies, customers, competitors and regulatory environment. Perform other special assignments and projects as assigned from time to time.
