Job Overview

A law firm seeks a passionate Associate Immigration Attorney to join their team in Falls Church, VA. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely and engage in meaningful advocacy for immigrant communities. The attorney will be part of either the Removal Defense Team, Affirmative Immigration Team, or Federal Litigation Team, depending on their background and interests.

Duties

• Represent clients in Immigration Court removal proceedings.
• Prepare and file asylum, withholding of removal, and other immigration claims.
• Conduct client consultations and draft affidavits.
• Represent clients before USCIS and other immigration bodies.
• Draft filings for federal district court and appear as necessary.
• Research legal arguments and draft persuasive filings.
• Supervise and mentor legal assistants and interns.

Requirements

• J.D. from a U.S.-accredited law school.
• Admission to any state bar or the District of Columbia.
• Minimum of two years of experience in immigration or criminal law.
• Valid U.S. driver's license.
• Proficient in Spanish.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.)

• Admission to a state bar or the District of Columbia.
