The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of residential real estate transactions, including title reviews, contract revisions, and client relations. Duties:

• Perform title review, rundown, and recording
• Review and revise real estate contracts
• Handle refinancing and purchase closings
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, lenders, and real estate agents
• Travel throughout the state to attend closings, including evenings and occasional weekends
• Stay up-to-date with industry software and tools
• Provide legal counsel and support in residential real estate transactions

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in residential real estate law
• In-depth knowledge of title examination, contract drafting, and closing procedures
• Experience handling client, realtor, and lender relations
• Proficient in relevant industry software
• Licensed and in good standing with the Connecticut Bar
• Current Connecticut Notary commission
• Ability to travel to various locations for closings, including evenings and weekends
• Reliable transportation

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Membership in the Connecticut Bar
• Connecticut Notary commission (required)
• Additional Bar memberships or Notary commissions in neighboring states are a plus
