A reputable civil litigation law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with 2–4 years of experience to join its practice, focusing on insurance defense, medical malpractice, and labor and employment law. The role offers hands-on litigation experience in a fast-paced legal environment and the opportunity to work alongside experienced partners on a diverse caseload. Candidates with additional experience in toxic tort, environmental, or administrative law will be strongly considered.

Duties

• Represent clients in insurance defense, medical malpractice, and employment-related matters

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal correspondence

• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda

• Participate in depositions, hearings, and case strategy meetings

• Collaborate with multiple partners and legal staff on complex litigation matters

• Manage assigned caseload from inception through resolution under supervision

Requirements

• 2–4 years of civil litigation experience

• Background in insurance defense, medical malpractice, or labor and employment law

• Experience in toxic tort, environmental, or administrative law is a plus

• Highly motivated and capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment

• Excellent legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Missouri (required)

• Eligible for licensure in Illinois (required)
