Mid-level Litigation Associate

Profile

A law firm seeks an experienced Mid-Level Litigation Associate to join its Wilmington, DE office. This position will focus on a variety of complex legal matters, including commercial litigation, insurance issues, corporate governance, collection actions, and civil rights cases. The ideal candidate will have between 4 to 6 years of experience in litigation and a strong track record in managing diverse legal challenges. The firm requires Delaware bar admission, and Pennsylvania bar admission is highly desirable. This role offers a dynamic environment with opportunities for growth and professional development.

Duties:

• Represent clients in complex commercial litigation and insurance-related matters.
• Handle a diverse range of litigation cases, including corporate governance disputes, collection actions, and civil rights issues.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Manage all stages of litigation, from initial case preparation through trial.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and client solutions.
• Communicate effectively with clients to provide case updates and guidance.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations in litigation matters.

Requirements:

• 4 to 6 years of litigation experience, preferably in commercial litigation, insurance, corporate governance, or civil rights.
• Strong understanding of litigation procedures, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral.
• Admission to the Delaware State Bar is required; admission to the Pennsylvania State Bar is strongly preferred.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Delaware State Bar (required).
• Pennsylvania State Bar membership (preferred).
