Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate in its Irvine, California office to join its active Litigation practice. This position is ideal for candidates with experience in insurance defense, municipal/public entity, and commercial litigation, though substantial experience in other litigation areas will also be considered.

Duties

• Manage all aspects of civil litigation, including motions, discovery, court appearances, depositions, and witness preparation.
• Draft and argue dispositive motions effectively.
• Collaborate with team members and work independently as needed.
• Engage in remote mentoring and learning with attorneys from other offices.

Requirements

• Admitted to practice in California with an active bar license in good standing.
• 3+ years of experience in complex civil litigation required; experience in insurance, municipal/public entity, and construction litigation preferred.

Education

• J.D. or LL.M. from an accredited U.S. law school, with preference for strong academic credentials, judicial clerkship, or law review experience.

Certifications

• Active California bar license.
