Job Overview:

A well-established law firm based in Las Vegas, NV, seeks a passionate Associate Immigration Attorney to join its growing legal team. This position presents a significant opportunity to develop expertise in both removal defense and family-based immigration law. The role offers meaningful client interaction, mentorship from senior attorneys, and exposure to diverse and complex cases within a collaborative legal environment.

Duties:

• Provide strategic consultations and clearly explain immigration processes to clients

• Advocate on behalf of detained and non-detained individuals before Immigration Courts and the Board of Immigration Appeals

• Manage and maintain a caseload across various immigration matters

• Conduct intakes and prepare legal assessments for individuals in detention facilities

• Prepare and submit petitions, applications, and supporting documentation related to removal defense, family-based immigration, humanitarian relief, and other USCIS matters

• Review case filings for accuracy and completeness, ensuring alignment with legal strategies

• Deliver presentations and updates on immigration law to community groups and government partners

• Develop legal strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for testimony in court and USCIS interviews

• Draft persuasive legal briefs and memoranda tailored to the client’s needs and case complexity

Requirements:

• 1 to 4 years of experience practicing immigration law

• Demonstrated experience handling removal defense and family-based immigration petitions

• Proven ability to manage a diverse caseload efficiently

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) preferred

• Familiarity with case management software is advantageous

• Enthusiastic collaborator who thrives in a team-oriented legal setting

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction

• Good standing with the State Bar
