Job Overview
A reputable law firm in Henderson, Nevada is seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Attorney to focus on both Immigration and Family Law matters. The ideal candidate will manage their own caseload independently from case intake to resolution. This includes drafting legal documents, engaging in litigation, conducting discovery, attending court proceedings, and negotiating settlements. This role requires strong courtroom experience, excellent client communication, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.

Duties
Independently manage a caseload involving family law (e.g., divorce, custody) and immigration matters
Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements
Conduct legal research and apply findings to support case strategy
Represent clients in court appearances, including motion hearings, evidentiary hearings, and trials
Oversee all aspects of the discovery process (depositions, interrogatories, document requests)
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court staff, and colleagues
Accurately record time entries, meeting an average daily billable target of 5.5 hours
Participate actively in a professional and team-oriented firm environment
Requirements
Demonstrated experience managing family and/or immigration cases independently
Strong litigation skills and familiarity with Nevada state court procedures
Willingness and eligibility to seek admission to Federal District Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit (if needed)
Ability to manage deadlines, client expectations, and legal documentation accurately and efficiently
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
Certifications
Active and in good standing with the State Bar of Nevada
Skills
Strong legal writing and analytical skills
Competence in legal research and discovery management
Excellent communication and courtroom advocacy
High level of organization, professionalism, and time management
Commitment to ethical, client-focused representation
Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced team setting
Preferred Experience
Experience in estate planning, veterans’ claims and appeals, or personal injury law
Consideration given to exceptional newer attorneys with strong academic performance and writing samples
