Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm in New York City is seeking a skilled Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in general commercial litigation, including pleadings, motions, and discovery practice. Strong academic credentials, exceptional research and writing skills, and the ability to work independently and interface with clients are essential.

Duties:

• Handle all aspects of general commercial litigation.
• Draft pleadings and motions, and engage in discovery practice, including e-discovery.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
• Work independently on assigned cases and interface directly with clients.
• Provide legal advice and counsel on commercial litigation matters.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff within the firm.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited US law school.
• Admission and in good standing as a member of the New York State Bar.
• 3-5 years of experience in commercial litigation.
• Current or prior employment with an AmLaw 100 firm is a plus.
