Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Cal OSHA Associate to join their team in various locations, including New Orleans, Riverside, Los Angeles, Silicon Valley, Orange County, Napa, Sacramento, San Francisco, and San Diego. The successful candidate will support and guide clients on workplace safety and health compliance requirements for Cal OSHA regulations and manage other labor and employment matters as needed.

Duties

• Support and guide business partners on environmental and workplace safety compliance requirements.
• Manage outside counsel and vendors on global EH&S issues and create programmatic opportunities to address risk.
• Develop relationships with regulatory agencies and influence policy development.
• Handle litigation relating to workplace safety and discrimination matters per Cal OSHA regulations.
• Represent clients in negotiations and mediations.
• Provide crisis management to clients dealing with workplace safety and health matters.

Requirements

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with exceptional academic credentials.
• 3+ years of employment litigation experience preferred; Cal OSHA experience required.
• Class action or public sector experience is a plus.
• Admitted to practice law in the State Bar of the Associate's primary office.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative, team environment.

Education

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice law in the State Bar of the Associate's primary office.
