A law firm seeks an Estate Planning Attorney to join their team, operating within the West Coast timezone. This role offers the opportunity to work with high-quality clients and a collaborative national legal team without the traditional billable-hour model.

Duties

• Conduct virtual client meetings to gather information and present tailored estate planning strategies.
• Draft and review estate planning documents, including wills and trusts.
• Lead client and advisor meetings with professionalism and clarity.
• Collaborate with financial advisors and internal team members across all 50 states.
• Stay current on federal and state estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax laws.
• Advise clients on asset titling, beneficiary designations, and trust funding.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with financial advisors.
• Respond to client and advisor inquiries promptly and professionally.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law and in good standing with at least one state bar.
• 3+ years of experience in estate and trust planning.
• Strong knowledge of estate planning and trust funding; high-net-worth planning experience a plus.
• Excellent client-facing skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Strong organizational, time-management, analytical, drafting, and writing skills.
• Comfort working in a technology-enabled legal practice.
• A genuine commitment to exceptional client service.

Education

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law and in good standing with at least one state bar.
