Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Riverside, CA. This role supports the Legal Operations Department by facilitating communication between operations and legal teams, handling client escalations, coordinating legal training, and ensuring legal consistency across teams. The position is remote for attorneys across the West Coast.

Duties

• Provide legal support to the team and clients.
• Oversee case management processes and operational workflows.
• Assist in the management of the firm's California professional corporation and office operations.
• Provide mentorship and operational oversight.
• Coordinate with firm leadership regarding staffing and compliance.
• Support quality assurance initiatives and procedural implementation.
• Handle client escalations independently.
• Coordinate legal training and ensure consistent application of new guidance.
• Serve as the legal SME for operational projects.
• Support process documentation and continuous improvement projects.

Requirements

• J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school.
• Active member in good standing of a state bar.
• 3+ years of immigration experience required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with non-attorney staff.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience using a case management software system preferred.
• Support mission of helping people obtain documents and stay with their family.
• Computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, DropBox, MS Outlook).

Education

• J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school.

Certifications

• Active member in good standing of a state bar.
