An internationally recognized law firm is seeking a highly skilled Mid-to-Senior Level Tax Associate to join its Global Corporate Group. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience advising on the tax aspects of domestic and cross-border corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and financings. Duties

• Provide tax advice in connection with M&A, private equity transactions, joint ventures, and corporate restructurings

• Draft and negotiate tax-related provisions in transactional documents

• Perform legal research and prepare tax memoranda and opinion letters

• Coordinate with corporate and finance teams on deal structuring and risk analysis

• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments affecting client matters

• Manage multiple transactions while maintaining excellent client service and responsiveness

Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience in tax law, preferably at a major law firm or accounting firm

• Significant exposure to transactional tax matters

• Strong grasp of federal income taxation of corporations and partnerships

• Proven ability to manage complex assignments with minimal supervision

• Demonstrated experience interacting directly with clients and working in cross-functional teams

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

• LL.M. in Taxation preferred but not required

Certifications

• Active bar membership in the state corresponding to the office location (NY, TX, or GA)

• Must be in good standing with the applicable bar
