Job Overview:
A nationally recognized law firm is seeking two mid-level associates with 2 to 5 years of tort litigation experience to join its Product Liability & Mass Torts practice group. This role provides the opportunity to work on some of the most complex and high-stakes product liability, mass tort, multidistrict, and class action cases in the country. The position offers exposure to a broad spectrum of industries and challenging jurisdictions, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, client service, and professional growth.

Location:

• San Francisco, CA

Duties:

• Serve as a contributing member of national trial teams managing major tort litigation

• Draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and memoranda

• Conduct legal research and prepare strategic analysis for case development

• Participate in fact discovery, including depositions and expert witness preparation

• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to advance case strategy

• Support pretrial and trial preparation in complex civil matters

Requirements:

• 2 to 5 years of experience in tort litigation

• Background in product liability, mass torts, or toxic/environmental torts

• Prior experience in a large law firm or similar complex litigation environment

• Demonstrated excellence in legal research, writing, and oral advocacy

• Local bar admission required in the state of the selected office location

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Active and in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar

• Eligibility to practice in the jurisdiction of the selected office

Skills:

• In-depth understanding of tort law, litigation processes, and courtroom procedures

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management abilities

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused legal environment
