A law firm seeks an energetic and driven Personal Injury Associate to join their team in Cleveland, Ohio. This role requires previous experience in handling personal injury cases of various types and the ability to multitask and work within a team structure.

Duties

• Handle personal injury case files from start to finish.
• Evaluate potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients.
• Draft, review, and modify legal documents including claims, motions, and pleadings.
• Research case law and gather relevant evidence such as insurance policies and medical records.
• Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, and insurance adjusters to gather information.
• Negotiate agreements and settle on clients' behalf when appropriate.
• Represent clients at hearings, trials, mediations, and depositions.
• Document and update the status of all case files in the case management system.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) and respective state bar membership required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience handling personal injury cases (plaintiff preferred).
• Strong client-facing experience and clear communication skills.
• Case management skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines.
• Preferential consideration for deposition, hearing, and mediation experience.
• Superior organization skills with great follow-through.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize appropriately.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
