Job Overview:
A reputable law firm in Chicago is seeking a dedicated Personal Injury Attorney to join its expanding team. The firm specializes in delivering exceptional legal services to individuals who have been injured through no fault of their own, ensuring they receive fair compensation for their suffering. As an attorney in this role, you will be responsible for guiding clients through every stage of their personal injury cases, from consultation and settlement negotiations to potential litigation.

Duties:

• Client Consultation: Meet with clients to assess the details of their personal injury claims, offering insightful legal advice and compassionate support.
• Pre-litigation: Manage a caseload from start to finish, collaborating with case managers, medical professionals, and insurance teams to secure favorable settlements. Review demand letters and negotiate with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
• Litigation: Represent clients in court, reviewing and analyzing discovery, taking depositions, and participating in mediations, arbitrations, and pre-trial conferences. Prepare cases for trial as necessary, advocating fiercely to secure the best outcomes for clients.
• Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, insurance adjusters, and opposing parties, ensuring all stakeholders are informed about case progress.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of experience in Personal Injury law.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active Illinois State Bar license.
• Licensed to practice in the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois.
• In-depth knowledge of personal injury laws, regulations, and legal procedures.
• Proven ability to negotiate, settle, and litigate personal injury cases effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with legal research and case management software.
• High attention to detail, ensuring the highest quality of service.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• A genuine commitment to advocating for injured individuals and achieving justice.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications:

• Active Illinois State Bar license.
