A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Los Angeles, CA, for a hybrid role. This position offers litigators the chance to engage in high-stakes work, moving beyond supporting roles to take on substantive responsibilities. The role involves 2-3 days per week in the Woodland Hills office, with flexibility based on trial schedules and case demands.

Duties

• Support all phases of complex litigation, from investigation and discovery through motion practice, mediation, and trial preparation.
• Draft motions, pleadings, discovery responses, and legal memoranda with increasing responsibility.
• Assist in preparing for and taking depositions of fact witnesses and experts.
• Participate in case-strategy discussions and trial preparation alongside senior attorneys.
• Collaborate closely with attorneys, paralegals, and litigation support staff.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, preferably in civil litigation.
• Active, good-standing member of the California State Bar.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Clear, professional communication style and commitment to client service.
• Desire to grow within a sophisticated, trial-focused practice.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
