A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Associate Attorney in Los Angeles, CA. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to engage in complex civil litigation, requiring meaningful trial experience. The position involves working alongside respected trial attorneys, with 2-3 days per week in the office, adjusted based on trial schedules.

Duties

• Lead complex civil litigation matters from initial investigation through trial and verdict.
• Develop and execute case strategies in high-stakes matters involving extensive discovery and expert testimony.
• Take and defend depositions of fact witnesses, corporate representatives, and experts.
• Prepare and argue dispositive motions, evidentiary motions, and post-trial motions.
• Prepare witnesses and experts for testimony and trial presentation.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing clear assessments and strategic guidance throughout litigation.
• Collaborate with experienced trial lawyers and a skilled litigation support team.
• Travel as needed for depositions, hearings, and trials, both in California and nationwide.

Requirements

• 5+ years of civil litigation and trial experience.
• Active and good-standing membership with the California State Bar.
• Significant experience handling depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage complex litigation with sound judgment and professionalism.
• Collaborative mindset and commitment to high-quality work.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership with the California State Bar.
