Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced attorney to join its corporate group in Raleigh, NC. This role focuses on working with emerging growth companies and institutional investors. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in venture capital financings, M&A transactions, and corporate governance matters.

Duties

• Communicate effectively with partners, clients, and staff.
• Produce timely and accurate deliverables.
• Analyze complex legal issues and apply legal principles.
• Provide well-reasoned work product under pressure.
• Mentor and supervise junior lawyers and staff.
• Travel as required for client meetings and business development.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience in emerging growth and venture capital.
• Experience with AmLaw 100 law firms preferred.
• Familiarity with NVCA, seriesseed.com, and Y Combinator forms.
• Experience in preferred stock, bridge, and SAFE financings.
• Ability to manage due diligence on M&A transactions.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD)

Certifications

• Bar admission in relevant jurisdiction
