A regional law firm is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Associate Attorney with 3–5 years of experience to join its growing practice in Chicago, Illinois. Location:

• Chicago, IL

Duties:

• Handle workers’ compensation matters from intake through resolution or trial

• Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, and briefs

• Attend pre-trials, case management conferences, depositions, and hearings

• Review medical records and evaluate case strengths and liability

• Participate in arbitration hearings and appeals in the Illinois Workers’ Compensation system

• Manage a growing caseload with increasing autonomy

• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex matters

• Build relationships with clients and maintain responsive communication

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of legal experience, preferably in workers’ compensation or litigation

• Strong interest in developing expertise in Illinois Workers’ Compensation law

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines

• Commitment to long-term growth within the firm’s practice

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in Illinois (Indiana admission a plus)

• Willingness to obtain admission in additional jurisdictions if needed

Skills:
